Marco Del Grande Age: 30 Country: Italy Profession: Designer Juste Pavasaryte Age: 24 Country: Lituania Profession: Product Designer Where the cooperation between Studio Volpi and NABA is coming from? M-J: This cooperation comes form an event concatenation that brougth to the attention of NABA the training suite Studio Volpi already offered in the past. The will to continue the trainig experience in the most prestigious Design Schools in Milan lead us to confirm this collaboration up to the training course for faculty's 3rd years' students. In general, how would you rate your teaching experience? M: It is always a very interesting experience, both for the fact you meet different people, ideas, ways of thinking and professionalism; and for the aspect related to the personal and professional growth - very important, and different to get elsewhere. J: Teaching has been very significant for me. It helped me a lot from the point of view of self confidence, mainly as far as Italian language is concerned; I have a very good level of italian, but it is not my mother tongue, being Lithuanian. I built up a very good relatioship with the students, and I am very happy for the opportunity I was given to share and show a lot of information and competencies to the students, despite my young age. Their interest for my competencies and experinces has been extremely stimulating and helped also my personal growth. Having the possibility to help others, transfer my knowledge to the studens, influence and inspire them to become excellent designers has been an extremely valuable experience. Which added values Studio Volpi was able to give to the students through your activity? M: Studio Volpi can share a broad range of experiences lived closely with a lot of clients in the real world of industry and development. The various national and international contexts we have been working with help the students understand which is the enviroment they will have to face soon and which are the real differences between educational and working experience. J: The students were somehow amazed that such a young girl could already bring her professionalism and experience in industrial design into a training course. My telling them about my working experiences and the projects I was working on, was of great value and motivation for them to believe in what they were doing and into the growth linked to it. We were not perceived as 'classic' teachers or professors; we were much more colleagues that become real designers working on concrete projects for big companies. Would you repeat this experience in future? M: This is not the first time for me, and every time is a new, different challenge stimulating curiosity. Yes, I will definitely fo it again in future. J: It would be very nice for me to do it again in future; it is a tiring, stressful and exhausting experience, but it is also very stimulating and a good professional growth.
